Suburban AeroClub of Chicago

About Us
Suburban Aeroclub of Chicago (SAC) was founded in 1962 and is one of the oldest model aircraft clubs in the nation. We build and fly model aircraft of all types: member interests include airplanes, seaplanes, gliders, helicopters and drones. We have an instructional program to help new members get started in the hobby, and we run a number of events throughout the year.
We are an AMA Gold Leader Club, a distinction achieved by only 5% of AMA chartered clubs.
Our regular flying site is at 19498 S. Cicero Avenue at the Cook County Forest Preserve model airplane field. We fly floatplanes at Midlothian Reservoir (167th and Cicero) in Oak Forest.
