Suburban Aero Club of Chicago
SAC now has our FRIA (FAA Recognized Identification Areas) status which will allow our members to fly at both of our locations / field without having to install any additional Remote ID equipment.

Our regular flying site is off S Cicero Ave, Matteson, IL at the Cook County Forest Preserve Tinley Creek model airplane field.

FLOAT FLYS - Midlothian Reservoir

We fly float planes at Midlothian Reservoir (167th and Cicero) in Oak Forest.
*** Seasonal Location with specific dates for Flying / Boating / Etc. ***
Amenities:
Lake for flying over. (must have pontoons on planes or helis)
Boats are WELCOME!
If it can FLOAT - Bring it!
Landing fees apply since we get permits for these monthly Events
Dedicated parking lot
We run a full sized powered boat for retrieval of damaged planes that may end up in the water.
